I used Knitted Wit’s Sundress colour palette (minus one skein of green) and a random number generator to determine the number of rows of each colour to knit.

When I was about halfway through the blanket, I weighed each of the balls and figured out I could probably get two more complete pattern repeats finished. At that point, I gave up on the random numbers to make sure I’d have enough of each colour.

For the border, I picked up and knit around the entire blanket using the last colour of the pattern, joining to knit circularly and increasing on each side of the corner stitches on alternating rounds so that the corners lay flat.
