Notes

This is my first test for Amy van de Laar (of Melbourne, Australia) who designs the most beautiful hats, cowls, mitts, capes and shawls. Look to her for the coziest accessories.

I’m not going to lie. This is not a quick project. However, it’s so worth the extra time. The entire cowl is knitted in twisted rib with some beautiful lace incorporated.

This yarn is slightly nubby and has a lot of texture to it. I love the tweedy effect, so bought a bunch of it in neutral colors.

Amy designed a matching beanie which I hope to knit eventually.

Regarding this cowl pattern….At first, I was confused because each repeat (between markers) is 24 sts and the charts only show 19 sts. This is because the charts are incomplete. Amy only provides the lace part of the pattern in the charts. The remaining sts in each section (between markers) are done in twisted rib with increases periodically. At the end of all the increasing, you’ll have 36 sts between each marker.
