Romina has a lot of very cute free patterns. Check them out!
This lovely cowl is knit bottom-up, though you can wear it in any direction. It’s knitted without any increasing or decreasing and in the round.
I only cast on 132 sts (6 x 22 sts) rather than the 7 repeats specified in the pattern. I like cowls that fit snuggly.
There are both written and charted instructions. The charted center portion has a 22-stitch repeat. The ribbing portions have an 11-stitch repeat (k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p1).
If I knit this again, I’ll change the ribbing portions to be regular 2 x 2 ribbing. Then I’ll “k2tog” when I get to the 11th and 12th stitches on the last round of ribbing. This will allow a little more room (flare) on the bottom edge where it sits on the shoulders. I might do the reverse on the top edge so that it can widen around the chin, if you pull it up around your face. These minor changes will also help with the 2 x 2 tubular cast on and bind-offs. This minor revision of the pattern will require casting on an additional 12 stitches if I keep with the 6 overall repeats of the cable pattern (132 + 12 = 144 sts cast on).
Perseus is a hero in Greek mythology, best known for slaying Medusa and rescuing Andromeda. He was the son of Zeus and Danaë. The general meaning of the word is “destroyer.”

Tubular cast on in the Round w 2X2 ribbing - Jogless
Go down a needle size or two for the tubular cast on. It will look better.
