Notes

I get excited every time Irene Lin comes up with a new design. Her style is so ME! I’m proud to be among her testing regulars. Eyelets seem to be a theme with my knitting choices this summer. This was a fun and quick project.

The pattern offers two lengths - cropped and longer. I made the longer version. I did not have enough of the Berroco Indigo yarn, and I could not buy more because it’s been discontinued. Therefore, I combined two other yarns (Bernat “Bundle Up” and Red Heart “It’s a Wrap”) to knit the bottom, neckline and sleeve cuff ribbing. Red Heart “It’s a Wrap” is a lace weight. I used the middle color (only) included in this big ball. This is the first time I’ve ever used the Bernat “Bundle Up” yarn. It’s 100% polyester, so super soft. It has a chain construction, but is somewhat fluffy. You could actually knit this entire pullover using just the Bernat yarn. I only used it for the ribbing because the color was fairly close and I couldn’t find anything else suitable in local stores.

The pattern offers two sleeve lengths - 3/4 and full length. I made mine full length which requires an additional repeat of the 20-round stitch pattern sequence.

Needles used:

Size 7 US (4.5 mm) - Body and sleeves
Size 5.5 US (4 mm) - Bottom ribbing (normal bind off)
Size 5 US (3.75 mm) - Pickup and next round of neckband
Size 4 US (3.5 mm) - Subsequent rounds of neckband and all rounds of sleeve cuff. Normal bind-off for sleeve cuff.

Measurements:

Circumference measurements were per the pattern.

Mid shoulder to bottom edge - 20” (17” + 3” ribbing)

Underarm to bottom edge - 9.5” (6.5” + 3” ribbing)

Sleeve length from pick-up point - 16” (14” + 2” ribbing)

Neckband width - 1”
