I made this for my cousin, Andrea, but that’s me modeling in the photos.

Very soft yarn. Gauge with size 7 needles worked up like sport weight rather than worsted weight. This is a roving type yarn with thick and thin sections. Very soft, and lovely color changes. Yarn is similar to Redheart Boutique Treasure, only much finer and different colorways.

This is a quick knit. You can easily knit this pretty cowl in 3 or 4 sittings. Ill probably make a bunch of these to give as gifts. I might change the lace portion to something different if I get bored.

Well-written pattern with instructions for both sport and worsted weight yarns. I followed the instructions for the sport weight (Sm gauge) yarn.

Since I used 100% acrylic yarn, I blocked by steaming lightly with an iron over a wet pressing cloth - after pinning down the points.

I didn’t use the bind-off technique recommended in the pattern, because I didn’t like the way it looked. Instead, I just bound off loosely in the normal way, using a size 9 needle - 2 sizes larger than what I used for knitting the cowl. Next time I’ll bind off using only knit stitches (no purls), since purls seem to interrupt the nice scallops at the bottom edge.

Had quite a bit left over from the one ball. This yarn has great yardage.
