I chose the colors and stripes to evoke Disney’s (1951) ‘Alice in Wonderland’ Cheshire cat. I wanted something to bring to mind the cat’s tail, and based the changing size of the stripes on another scarf I saw here that used variegated yarn, because I liked the look and interest of it. It wasn’t hard to duplicate in two different yarns.
