I already HAD a plan until I saw her use of color changes & dark color choices. Scowl. Hiss. Now I’ve gone through FOUR color change ideas.

FINAL & 4th PLAN: OK, I retract my idea of not going into debt. I have now ordered 10 different new colors in DK & lace & have posted a photo (the 1st one) I found somewhere online that represents my shading/color ideas. And if THIS plan doesn’t work, well, I’ll just hafta kill myself. Or Drusilla-the-Rat who has no idea of my existence in the world. Poor soul.

We’ll see, I say ominously.

TORTOISES are 2 colors of purple: 1 DK & 1 lace, with another lace add-in for the edging.

Sometime later… I have zero idea what I’m talking about here. Sigh.

DUCKS are burgundy DK with brown & ruby lace add-ins. (uh-oh ruby is a no-go))

FISH are rusty DK with 2 colors (lavender/apricot) of lace add-ins plus some lavender at their cute little faces. Or not.

11/27/13: Well, the apricot shading I had planned at the noses of the fish won’t work. I think from a distance it would just look like orange blobs. I don’t like blobs. I kept the lavender lace add-in, though.

Also dropped the ruby color from the ducks. Too obvious a color change. Sigh. So now I’m down to 8 colors.

I’m getting 4 turtles out of a 220 yd ball Cascade 220 + lace add-in, with a whole 2 yards left over. 55 yds/turtle.

11/28/13: Getting 2 fish from a 118 yd ball DBliss+add-ins, with 8 yards left over. 55 yds/fish.

12/3/13: I’m getting…. er, I forgot how many ducks. More later.
