I searched for the yarn Plymouth Homestead and then searched under projects. It is a free pattern. (Better idea.. Google Plymouth Button Flap Hat)

I would use size 9 needles next time. I have too many stitches per inch… But it will be ok…

You can make the hat taller by adding more cast on stitches. It would make the hat floppier!!

The stitch is called a PLAIT Stitch… You skip the 1st stitch, knit into the top of the second and pull that stitch over the 1st. Then knit the 1st stitch. A fun stitch, once you master the technique.
