From the moment I laid eyes on dreareneeknits latest creation I knew it was a must knit! The rustic beauty of Brooklyn Tweed loft, a thoughtfully designed honeycomb motif and irresistibly squishy texture of garter stitch was too much! I couldn’t fight it.

I knit the large size (I have a 46” bust) and that gave a enough ease for my personal preference. I made one modification and added two inches to the length of the body. I know I wouldn’t wear it if it was too cropped.

The honeycomb motif is created using dropped stitches which are then slipped for several rows to create an elongated stitch. In some cases the the stitches are reordered not unlike cables. I flew through the chart and it was fun to do.

With top down sweaters I typically do the sleeves before finishing up the body because I find it less cumbersome since you down have a whole sweater dangling below.

As always with brooklyntweed Loft a full wet block is a must. I didn’t pin out my sweater after it came out of the bath, but I did give the body a gentle stretch to open it up a bit.

Thanks Andrea for a fun project!
