Notes

These very cute hats are light and airy. They are pretty and comfortable to wear. Made in Fingering weight yarn they are wonderful in the Summer and make a perfect indoor hat in the Winter.
I have long been fascinated by the simplicity and versatility of the Feather and Fan pattern. These two little hats are perfect for beginner as an introduction to lace patterns. The patterns are simple enough for a novice knitter, but will not bore even an experienced one. It is easy to remember and you can choose the version you are most comfortable with. Choose top-down, start with an I-Cord and increase to get the number of stitches you need. You will have the pretty scalloped brim to frame the babies face like a pretty bell flower.
