Okay, I KNOW she asked for brown, but I thought this would look pretty with her red barn coat and figured the handpaint was subtle enough to not drown out the cable pattern. Hope she likes it. :) (Zoe graciously modeled it on Grandma’s behalf.)

LOVE this yarn even more all knit up. On the skein it looks mostly red, yellow and gray… knitted the purple, green, rust and pinks come out. Gorgeous! Mom always said I needed more color, so right back at her!

Followed mods for DK in jennanana’s starcrossed, but wasn’t thrilled with how the decrease looked… too much flat knitting space in the handpaint against the cables. Let it marinate for a few days then ripped it out and decreased as written, adding a couple extra sections to accommodate the extra stitches. Looks much prettier.
