My take on BERLIN scarf
I have a shop bought scarf similar to this but wanted another one to go with a new coat.

Making a start on this tonight but then it will be a juggling act between this and baby jumpers.

Taking longer than anticipated as I decided that my first attempt was too wide. Second time round with fewer stitches and now on the home straight.

Tassel working:
Next row (commencing the tassels)
From the eor split the stitches equally over 2 needles (32 sts on the front needle and 32 on the back needle)
Using 5.5mm dpns/circular needles:

1. Place 1st from the front needle onto the dpn and 1st from the back needle, repeat (4sts)
2. Using a second 5.5mm dpn/circular needles K2, k2tog.
3. Move the 3 sts from the right dpn to the left dpn and k3 repeat until icord is the desired length then bind off the 3 sts. Repeat steps 1-3 until all sts have been worked.

My working:
Chunky yarn knitted on 7mm circular needles
Provisional cast on 64 sts and knit in the round until the desired length.
16 Icord tassels added to both ends
Tassels knitted on 5.5mm’s.
Finished length - 67” (without fringe), 78” (including fringe)
Finished weight - 428g
