Jacquard test knit for Sophie, size 1 with deep V neckline.

Grateful to Sophie for having me on board as the test pattern is in French and I’ve been using Google Translate to convert the instructions to English. Pleased to assist Sophie with an English translation and now there’s also an English version of this pattern.

I love the striking detail of the front jacquard pattern and look forward to seeing it with lots of different colour combinations.

My gauge was pretty spot on with the cotton yarn I chose. However, after blocking my top had expanded a little. I decided to simply work a short bottom rib and leave the top slighty cropped and loose fitting.

Before I’d even started this summer version I was already thinking how good this would look with long sleeves and thinking about what colours to choose.

Pattern mods:
Ribbed neckband (picked up stitches 3:4 ratio ie 3 sts for every 4 rows - total sts even number, sides equal and even, back uneven number of sts plus one centre front for the CDD)
No decreases before bottom rib
