Small patt correction: if you are reading the chart by color, row 51 should be purple (the number “51” is written in orange/red).

this yarn is incredible! so far, the pattern is requiring a lot of attention, which would normally make me want to put this one off, but I’m so addicted to this yarn that I don’t care. I just want to keep knitting with it!

only took about 1.5 days worth of knitting to get through the beginning rows where you have to pay attention (if you are doing short rows). now i’m on to the “work even” part for the first half, and it’s just flying - I LOVE THIS YARN!!!

final conclusions: the “ruffles” could be a little more ruffly - the short rows only create a very subtle movement along the edge of the scarf (as seen in photo #1).

also, when grafting/kitchenering the 2 pieces together, it was driving me crazy that the ribs would never match up, so what I did was only pick up half a stitch when I came to a stitch that was between a rib. so, on a knit section that was ending and the next stitch began a purl section of the rib, I only picked up half the last knit st and then began the purl grafting. I made sure I pulled tight here, because if you don’t there will be a hole where half the st was left un-picked. I don’t think this is generally regarded as “good practice”, but I like the result so much better - aside from that st looking like a decrease, it allows the rib pattern to continue matching up. Last 3 photos show the join that is kitchenered.
