I’ve played a lot with this yarn, and I think the 25sts/4in gauge is going to work for these pants. Not he quickest kid-knit, but I’m still looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

Mods, and notes as I go:

Oy. This is not working out. Going to rip out everything and start again, casting on with 80 sts and using circular needles instead of DPNs.

c/o 80 sts
12 rows carter stitch
a. 17 sts stockinette
b. decrease row
Repeat AB 3 more times.

April 22:
This is mostly done. Need to add buttons, and am going to make some button flaps for the pants to hold up the rolled hems. The legs are excessively long, as the little guy these are for is on the tall/thin side.

Took a few pictures of this with my son as model. Our godson is smaller than he is, so I’m hoping it will not be quite as tight on him.
