Some general notes:

Stopped body at 15” before starting 8 rounds of ribbing. I’m short, so stopping at 16” would be too long.

Stopped pocket backs at 5” instead of 6” because I was making the body 1” shorter than pattern instructions.

Delayed start of sleeve decrease rounds until elbow so sleeves wouldn’t be too tight. Decreases at intervals of 6 rows instead of 8 because I had fewer rows in which to complete the decreases. I had 70 stitches on the needle when I reached the ribbing for the sleeve, which is fine for me because I have large arms and hands.

Referred to halvorgal’s project for tips on picking up neck opening stitches. Picked up all stitches instead of smaller number indicated in pattern, as a too-small neck opening was a common issue expressed by others who have knitted the pattern. Worked 4 rounds of ribbing, then used tubular bind off.

This sweater is so lovely and has become a wardrobe staple. I’m going to knit another one in the same beautiful yarn, in a brighter color.
