I swatched twice to get the fabric density right, and got gauge with size 5 needles (HiyaHiya Sharps).

It was a joy to knit this beautiful shawl. I love the texture created by the Isager yarns and the ripple design. Isabell Kraemer’s pattern is very clear and easy to follow, as hers always are. The rhythms of ripples and bubbly tuck stitch rows keep the knitting interesting and engaging.

This was my first experience knitting tuck stitches; the pattern instructions are easy to understand. For a visual reference on tuck stitches, I found the YouTube video by KnitPurlHunter useful.

I had read another knitter’s comments that they used every bit of the 2 balls of Isager Trio in the Linen colorway, and so I kept the tension tight on that yarn to avoid running out.

I chose to make the final stretch of garter stitch shorter than the pattern instructions indicate, and I decided against tassels for the corners.
