This pattern and the chart are really well written. I found the yarn a little scratchy so I hope it softens when I block the hat.

My only real disappointment was my fault. I am a tight knitter so I moved up a needle size on both needles. The hat is really big so I wish I had either stayed with the size on the pattern or only moved up a half size to 1.5 for the ribbing and stayed with the size three for the hat itself.
