Notes

This designer is truly amazing.

Note:
Her directions are written in an odd fashion, but one can see what to do. A beginner might have a little trouble figuring things out.
If you are having any trouble with this design, I’m happy to help.
Assembly directions are sparse but one can look at the numerous pictures of the completed piece which show every angle.
At first, it looked like there were no directions for the legs.
The section labeled ‘paws’ is the legs and feet.

Assembly recommendation:
Make the head, neck and body sections first and attach them.
Make the ears next and attach.
Make the legs and tail next and attach.
Do the curly hair and poms last.

Curly Hair:
I had a little trouble making the curly hair as directed so I worked it differently in two ways.

  1. crochet chains (ch 10) attached directly with sl st on main pieces.
  2. (ch 10, sc to beg ch), repeated making a long strand of loops. attached around body area with simple running stitch embroidery. The designer’s method of curly hair probably uses less yarn than what I did.

Elected to make crochet balls vs poms because a little kid can pull the poms apart easily and that would ruin the toy.

Ms. Loly used to sell on Etsy but not anymore. Etsy customers might have complained about struggling with the directions. Etsy’s only solution would be to have the seller close the shop. She’s still on ravelry.

Acquired this stunning yarn since I resumed knitting about 10 years ago. I have chosen projects for it very carefully.
