Notes

Adorable and creative design.
(There’s no video tutorial for this design but there are stepwise photos.)

Used a commercial neck roll pillow insert purchased from the former Joann Fabric and Crafts, my trusty source for my stuffies. Alas, no longer.

Rewrote pattern adapted to work flat.
I relied on the project pictures of Polar stuffy to see where the increases and decreases were positioned, dorsal vs ventral. That’s important for shaping.

My row gauge was the same as the design but my project turned out about 5” longer. Can’t explain. It seemed to be going in that direction as I made it, but since I hadn’t done this design before, I kept going as written. Gonna make this again and omit some rows in the areas that are worked even.

This Touch of Alpaca yarn in cream is perfect for polar

Used commercial 18.0 mm animal eyes vs embroidered closed eyes.
Embroidered face features and paw pads.
Carried various multiple yarns together for the sweater for destash purposes.

I made Bear in a Bunny Suit by this designer. It is a delightful design that turned out beautifully: Bear in a Bunny Suit.
It was an in-the-round design that I worked flat.
