Sweet pattern! I couldn’t quite get gauge even with size 5 needles, so just went with the 5. Adjusted length of body and sleeves a little too, so came out a little closer to the size 1-2 even tho I was following the 6-12 month size numbers.

Did 12 repeats of diagonal lace edging instead of 14, so then I was only able to pick up 50 sts instead of 55. So I did 6 evenly spaced pfb’s instead of 2 to get to my 57 needed sts.

Did 4 extra rows to get a better length based on all the project notes I read.

On neck shaping bind offs, I slipped the first stitch of each bind off row to smooth out the stairstep edges. I put the shoulder stitches on a holder instead of binding off.

Started the flower a few rows early to better center it. Did 3 nbo on shoulders to seam.

Did sleeves top down. Picked up my needed 51 stitches (3 of every 4), then at end of each row (starting with the pick up row), I picked up a loop thru the closest bind off stitch, passed the 2nd stitch over the first, turned and worked row. Did at each end (a total of 6 times) to use up the 3 bind off sts at each end. Pick up kw on knit sts, pu pw on purl sts.

Decreased every 4 rows down the sleeve. Did first 1/2 of sleeve (30 rows) stockinette, then last 1/2 in the pattern stitch (done upside down to accommodate top down sleeve). Went a little longer than pattern called for. Bind off on row 61 with a size 8 needle, leaving a long tail to seam up sleeve and down body.

Neckband - did in round so adjusted pattern to correct. Only picked up 71 sts instead of 75. Bind off with an 8.

If I make this again, I might be tempted to do the body all as one piece to avoid the seaming at the lace.
