I love this pattern! I’ve had a basket of leftover sock yarn for quite awhile, just waiting for inspiration. I know I could have done Monster Socks, but didn’t really want to do socks with it all. Found this pattern browsing the forums recently. The hardest part is figuring out what yarns to knit together. But I’m trying not to be too anal about it!

I did go down to 96 CO sts. I’m using the Crochet Cast On with an F hook. And I also discovered the pattern needs to be a multiple of 8, not 4, in order for the decrease section to work correctly. First one I did was with 92 sts which was fine until row 9 of the decreases and then it got wonky.

Went to 6” on first one and then started decreases.
Went to 7.5” on 2nd one so there is a brim.
Went to 8” on 3rd one, then decreases.

Decrease section takes about 6 grams of yarn.
Skipped row 14 as many here on Rav have done.

Did the Magic Knot for all my joins. Love it. Perfect for this pattern.

Width ends up about 8” across, unstretched.
About 9.5” stretched so purl stitches show.

1. 49 g for the 6” length before decreases.
2. 62 g for the 7.5” length before decreases
3. 66 g for the 8” length before dec (total length - 9.5”)
