Played Yarn Chicken; lost--not enough white for stripes. This does not look the way I had planned, but I love it this way, probably more than white stripes.

Originally I had one tassel fastened directly to top of hat, but the two tassels on a crocheted chain is a big improvement.

I didn’t catch long floats except when I could easily catch them catch on the following row. Yarn is 100% wool so the long floats will felt themselves eventually, but I knitted a lining of sock yarn for the stranded portion anyway. It does make the hat very warm.
