first try at socks -- charlie’s birthday present, let him pick the colors and then went and found the yarn to make them; cast the toe on three times on a porch in Bermuda before I got it right!

9/7/2010 -- first sock complete! tried on (photo coming) -- could have made the cuff longer but he swears the length will be fine so the 2nd will match (and future pairs will get longer cuffs) -- all the fitty bits fit! yeah!

2/5/2011 -- turned the second heel last week, working towards the ribbing cuff when I discovered the heel is not the same size. now have to rip out the heel and reknit… must make very sure to put down # of stitches etc. so I can repeat! (or work faster so I can remember)

March 2011 -- after a coulple ASSes (that would be all sock Saturday and all sock Sunday) I completed on the annual trip to Cumberland to see Jacob’s play -- weave the last ends in and done!
