07/14/10: Fits nicely! Still needs to be washed and for me to figure out how to do a zipper. What a relief to find out what you’re working on fits its intended recipient!
07/13/10: All done. I didn’t do the intarsia back bit at all - I just couldn’t haul around another attached skein and I heard it didn’t lay right for some. Also, I didn’t follow the instructions too closely for the front instarsia or the zipper bit. I think it looks awesome, still. I’m going to block it. I may or may not chicken out on the zipper.
07/11/10: My hands hurt - the sleeves have been attached to the body, and the yoke is nearly complete. I’m actually questioning if I have enough yarn to finish. I’m definitely going to have to PU st along the bottom and cast off to stop the curling.
07/07/10: You know what stops the ribbing from curling? Cable CO!! Yippee! Started the sleeve, and accidentally continued with the wrong ball, but it still looks good.
07/07/10: Finished the bottom of the body. I started it first rather than the sleeves. I’m going to try and find a way to flatten the corrugated ribbing out…I’m going to have to PU along the bottom and cast off to stop the insanity.
07/01/10: See how my start date is almost one month after purchasing the yarn? That’s because The Knitting Garden provided me the WORST online shopping experience I’ve ever had. Here’s a tip: avoid them at all costs, even if you’re getting a good deal.
