Notes

I have always enjoyed knitting Natasja’s designs, as they captivate even the most experienced knitters with their unique spark.
I am delighted to be participating in the testing of Alula.

I didn’t have any suitable yarn for summer, so I’m treating myself by using cashmere instead. This means that I can wear Alula in the summer too, as cashmere isn’t too hot.

I knitted the body 6 stitches longer. That’s why I used a little more yarn than the pattern called for.

I finished the sleeves at row 30 of Chart C and only knitted 5 cm ribbing instead of 6 cm for the sleeves. My yarn overs (yo) seem to be too large when knitting with cashmere, which is why I needed to adjust the sleeve length.

I would definitely recommend making the neckline before starting the sleeves. This will give you the opportunity to try on the sweater and decide on the sleeve length accordingly.

This is a sweater that will definitely get a lot of wear. It has a great fit and, thanks to the cashmere, it is incredibly soft. I am also sure that the ALULA pattern can be knitted with many different types of yarn, such as wool, silk and cotton, and the result would always be fantastic.

I am glad to have been among the first to knit the Alula. Thank you for the opportunity, Natasja!

My dear daughter was the model.
