This sweater has been a special one for me; it is probably the most life-changing piece of clothing I will ever own. I stumbled upon the free Let’s Do This sweater pattern when scrolling through Instagram + figured I’d try it out with all the yarn scraps from my winter markets. Little did I know that the sweater I made on a whim would become “my big break” essentially. Now, that sounds dramatic, but really, it was a crazy time. I was too flabbergasted to know what to do with myself. And this was before I got the message from Wool and the Gang that they wanted to do a feature on me!
I am so blessed to have received this opportunity + I hope my story can give a glimmer of hope to anyone who’s been working away at their small business for years just waiting for the next step. If you continue to devote yourself to that better future, whether it’s saving the world or adding a little light to your life, someone will recognize that.
If nothing else, at least I can say I saved a little bit of yarn from going in the trash.
