Potions OWL (proposal here)
Midterm post here.
1/28~it’s so much harder to do fair isle flat, much harder than i thought it would be! it hurts my hand to do the purl rows, so it’s going a little slower than i hoped. i think i’m going to run out of yarn. dang. and this isn’t a true fair isle pattern because half of the colored rows use 3 colors instead of just 2, which makes it so hard too. finished with 2 out 4 charts for the back! yay!
2/8~finished chart 3 and started 4. also, i changed chart 4 to only do the first 15 stitches and just repeat the same mickey all the way across instead of doing it as two different mickeys being repeated. it’ll just make it easier to follow.
2/28~Officially made it to 50%! Completed chart 2 on the front all in one day today. My hands hurt!
3/31~Failed this OWL spectacularly! I will NOT be taking this out to redo it for the House Cup, so will just have to finish it for detention and do a different Potions OWL someday.
8/26~Picked this back up again. I’m hoping to have it finished by the time my parents go to Disneyland in 2 weeks! I have less than half of the front, the 2 sleeves, and then all the seaming/finishing. I think I can do it!
9/7~It’s Finished!!! I can’t believe I finished knitting the rest of this in a week and a half. I did the sleeves in the round on a small circular, so they went very quickly. Seaming this beast was actually really fast too. My mom will be wearing this in Disneyland this weekend, so I’ll get finished pictures when they get back.
