This is my first large lace project. So far, I’m about 50 rounds into the project and it’s looking lovely! Thank goodness for lifelines, though!
2/4: Round 53 of 159 completed
2/7: Round 56 of 159
Ouch, I’m going to have to pull back to round 31. Something’s off and I can’t quite figure out where in the last 3 or 4 rows. My last life line partially came out and is now more or less useless to me :(
2/24: Ripped back to just round 46 and managed to get my lifeline to work; added stitch markers between every other section and reknit through round 52/159.
3/1: Round 56/159 completed.
6/10: Just completing round 67. The first chart is done!
6/23: 76/159 completed. This has languished a bit because of more pressing baby projects, but I’m hoping to continue plugging away at it a couple of rounds at a time.
6/26: 85/159 rounds completed after a lazy Sunday.
7/10: 94/159 rounds completed.
7/12: 100/159 completed.
7/17: 109/159 completed.
7/18: 112/159 completed.
7/24: 127/159 completed.
7/26: 132/159 completed.
7/31: 136/159 completed. Repeats getting longer-- rounds seem to be taking forever!
8/6: 141/159 completed.
8/7: 143/159 completed.
8/10: 145/159 completed. Isn’t it done yet?
8/12: 150/159 completed.
8/14: Finished knitting the last row today; then started binding off… but it’s taken hours of working on it, and I’m only 2/3 of the way through binding off! So, my goal of having it finished this weekend has not been met because I can a) stay up all night and knit; or b) iron my work clothes and get some rest for my first official day back at work tomorrow. B it is. Boo for being a responsible adult.
8/15 @12:22am: I lied. I picked A and now it’s all over but the blocking.
11/13: Blocked!
The color is somewhere between the early photos and the blocked shawl photo. The yarn is beautiful and soft and shiny. In the end, the shawl blocked 48” in diameter.
Entered this in the state fair: wish me luck! 3rd place!
