iT’s JuSt An iLlUsIoN! because it looks far more tricky than it really is, (just slipping and knitting), and also for the strobing effect that the angular almost Greek key design has on your eyes.

This colorway has been used a great deal for many a sock project, I know, but I think this shows another way of showing off its rainbow qualities.
I used cream for the main color but I think black would have given them a more sophisticated look.

Takes less than 1 ball for the CC so if you have an odd ball hanging about and you don’t know what to do with it, (and 1 1/2 balls of a MC color for cuffs, heals and toes), I recommend using it for this design.

The bands of color are spaced out to double the depth it would normal take knit up as a single color because you alternate it with another.

The design is called ‘PUCKER’ because the unblocked sock looks bumpy and puckered like seersucker fabric, this is due to the slipped stitches shortening the vertical compared to the fairly relaxed stocking stitch along the horizontal.
Do not worry about any negative ease though, when worn one cancels out the other!

I knit two pattern repeats each on my leg and foot.

I L O V E this design ~ General Hogbuffer I salute you!
