First I want to say that Jared Flood projects have absolutely excellent descriptions! Never sloppy, no mistakes, thought through very well. It is a pleasure to knit them.
I chose Garthenor Organic 1 lace 1-ply for this project as I fell in love with this yarn while knitting a previous project (Kyler) with fingering Organic 2. I wanted it to be a cream color rather than pure white and ordered Dorset Horn yarn and it did not dissapoint!
As quite often with me - I am a tight knitter, I realized that suggested number of stitches will make a rather small garment. So I kept adding on until it reached the size I wanted.
I also added several more rows of the horseshoe pattern as it is so beautiful and I wanted more of it!
The real beauty is in the edging of this design. It is so different from the edgings I tried before.
I love the result!
If I would do it again - I would not change a thing!! It is one of my best knittings so far.
About the yarn: love, love, love Garthenor Organic 1 lace. It has a rustic touch to it, which I appreciate a lot. It is very dry - it delivers this special wool scratchiness that modern fabrics try to eradicate as a bad thing.
