This is a beginning of experiment series: combining linen or other thin yarns with something else. Here is Lihtuanian 4 ply linen together with a soft, somewhat fluffy yarn (mohair, silk, merino). The colours are slightly different but together they give a nice surface. The sweater weighs 215 g. I used 135 g of linen and 80 g of the other yarn. That is, I barely started the 4th ball.
Why the combination is interesting? Mohair gives structure (you see well-defined stripes of garter stitch) and linen gives weight (the sweater is less airy and fluffy, the fabric falls beautifuly).
