bought the yarn at WEBS during our real life visit May, 2010 - cast on at the MSKR10…
be sure to center the pattern when picking up the stitches on the back panel - it’s important to divide the cable panel in half then half again (use safety pins or something to divide) and evenly distribute the stitches - otherwise you’ll end up with an uneven back and it’ll look icky… like mine did… and I had to rip it out and re-do it!
8/4/10 finished the back! :) - liking the pattern but realizing there are a few errors… as long as you are careful and pay attention to what the piece should look like, you’ll be fine. it’s definately an exercise in paying attention! :)
8/30/10 Happy Happy I have finished the second sleeve! it’s time to block and get assembled so that the collar can be added!
9/3/10 blocked pieces…
9/22/10 the shoulder seams are done, and I have finished the short rows on the shawl collar - I think I only have like 8 more rows to do to finish this cardigan! I also dug through my vintage buttons and found 3 or 4 different buttons that work perfectly with this yarn! I’m going to get it all knitted (including the button holes) and then decide which one to use… just a few rows, then sleeves to set in and the sides to seam up… it’s CLOSE!
10/16/10 sleeves are grafted, sides are seamed… buttons need to be sewn on and it needs to be blocked.. almost done!!!
12/17/10 buttons on and it’s amazing. I love this cardigan - despite the few problems with the pattern, I really recommend knitting it!
