I started off knitting five washcloths for my new baby nephew. As I went along I kept making more cloths than I had originally intended. The ideas kept coming to me. I eventually ended up with nine cloths that made a storyline, from the time his parents met until he was born. For presentation, I layered the cloths to look like a book and tied one side of it in three places to create a spine.

Dog - Parents got a fur baby
Wedding Bells - Parents got married
Cancer - Parent’s astrology sign
Baby Foot - Ellis was born
Leo - Ellis’ astrology sign
T - Family surname initial
