Using the smallest leftover scrap balls from my stash for the contrast colors so I have no idea what yarns they are. The background is a leftover partial ball of Malabrigo. I didn’t realize it was DK weight so the sock is coming out a little bit bigger. This is probably a good thing because I’ve made this pattern twice before and each time it was a bit too small.

One note… the sock shown in the image on the actual printed pattern doesn’t match the directions. That sock doesn’t show a solid rolled edge along the top. The sock in the Ravelry image does show a top rolled edge and matches the written pattern directions.

Using that DK weight as the main color has made this sock fit perfectly!!

As suggested by the pattern, I skipped the last motif on the foot before starting the toe shaping which made it the perfect length for my size 9 woman’s foot. This used up 2 of my small scrap balls of yarn and about half of the yellow partial ball. By using the DK yarn, this ended up fitting perfectly. Using just fingering weight (in my previous projects), this sock ends up too tight.
