Notes

I purchased enough Carnival that I could do the whole blanket, but I also purchased several single skeins of other colorways in case I want contrast. I’ll try to add the actual numbers of skeins used as I go along.

So many people have used this yarn for this pattern so I was expecting this to be a little nicer yarn. It is pretty fuzzy and splits easily when knitting. I am also encountering problems with the yarn just ripping apart from the skein with only a small amount of tugging. Not really impressed with this. I don’t know if I got a bad batch when I bought it on sale this week, or if it is normally this fragile. It also fuzzes and creates layers of loose lint/fuzz that I have to pick off the completed knitting and the strands felt together as they rub each other on the skein while knitting.

I really dislike this yarn, and I don’t like the lack of color contrast on several blocks. I’m not enjoying this knit so I decided to frog it and toss the blocks I’ve completed.
