Making 2 more pair of gloves from random scrap yarn in my stash for a friend that loved the first ones I made and asked for a couple pair to give as gifts.

Finished the first of 4 gloves, but need to weave in the ends. This is my second time using this pattern so I was able to incorporate some fixes…
Each of the patterns has to be stitched from bottom to top within the specified pattern number. Also, there is a section in about the middle of the first glove that says to do 4 rounds of stockinette but the pattern chart only shows 3, so I followed the written directions.
For the fingers, I always pick up 4 instead of 1 in order to avoid big gaps. On the second round, I K2tog twice to reduce the pickup stitches to only 2 to tighten up the pickup area.
When stitching the fingers, I use variegated yarns instead of trying to change patterns in the fingers. When I reach the correct length, I do 2 rows of K2tog and then pull the yarn end through the last stitches instead of following the pattern directions.
I deliberately use the same color for the cuff and the thumb on both gloves in a pair to make it look more matching and cohesive.
