WARNING -- Do not misread the pattern instruction “k1, p1 to next to last stitch, k1”. I accidently read that as k1,p1 all the way across and did several inches of knitting before realizing that it should just be all purls except for the ends. If this wasn’t the bottom of the sock, I would have left it in as a “design element” but it turned the texture to be similar to a bumpy moss stitch and would be too uncomfortable to walk on.

This is coming out much wider than expected. If I make this pattern again, I should go down another size.

Finished the first sock and it has about 2 inches of extra circumference around my foot. Very loose and floppy. I need to go down another size when starting the other slipper.

Wow… even a size 6 is way too wide.

I like the concept and the construction, but even going down to size 6 for my Woman’s size 9 foot was way too big around while using fingering weight yarn.

If I try these again, I’ll go down again to size 5.
