Must read notes if you are going to make this:

1) Bind off loosely or in another size.
My experience with these shorts, everything turned out nicely (size, feel & shaping) until I binded off. It was a tad bit tight to squeeze into even over my hips! I would hate for these shorts to be ruined by something minor. I reworked the bind off by using a size 11 needle (Knit Picks options one side 7 the other side 11) and of course loosely. PERFECTO!!

2) The only challenging part of this project was putting together the inner leg (aka sewing the parts together). I would highly recommend printing out the revision to this pattern to get a better idea of how to sew the pieces together if you have never made pants before.

3) Love the heart buttons, however these are just really for flare. I don’t know anyone who will have the patience to unbutton 4 buttons when they really have to go. These are flat buttons, I made a thread shank, it will give the buttons some depth and easier to button and unbutton.

P.S. Nov. 29, 2008 - Finally the last ball has arrived for me to finish this project! Thanks Mr. Mailman for bringing the package to my door (seeing that you had to walk up a couple flights of stairs), it was extremly nice of you.
