My 1st try at knitting, please forgive the modifications.

Pick size by wrists not gloves

Note, I take size large gloves due to long fingers. But I have small wrists. Frog size large mitts and redid in small size perfect!

I’m new to knitting, 3 weeks, and use circular needles not dpns.
Still needed to more decreases my 6inch wrists!

Button hole stitching was used 5 knit stitches for thumb.

I binded off top with crochet as it rolls anyway.
