When I had 20 sts/section I started 2 x 2 ribbing on the future leg sts (sections 1 and 2) so it’s not baggy around my ankles. I also moved the increase, adjusting as necessary to keep in pattern, to the end of section 2 so it didn’t break up the ribbing. It’s 3” in diameter.

The instep was big enough when I had 32 sts/section. I put the heel sts on a piece of yarn so the stitch markers didn’t get in the way before I started the 3-needle bind off.

Done the foot and toes. I used a wedge toe instead of the toe in the pattern. Now I’m working on the ribbing for the leg. I picked up 2 sts on each side of the seam and worked them as - k1tbl, p2, k1tbl to fit into the ribbing. There’s 68 sts for the leg.

I finished the legs and the socks (nice not to end with grafting the toes ). I knit the ribbing 4” from where I picked it up. The socks used 70g (278.6m/305.2y).

Before blocking the leg from top to instep is 4” long and from the top to the start of the heel is 9-1/2” long. The start of the heel to the instep seam is 5-5/8” long. The foot starting from the start of the heel is 8” long x 7-1/2” in circumference just below the end of the inseam.

Te balls weighed 48.3g and 47.8 g = 96.1g. There’s 13.5g and 13.3g = 26.8g left.
