Here are some pointers, uses about half a skein, maybe a bit more.

Casted on 80 st. The hat is knit in the round.
First 7 cm (=2,75”): k 1 tbl, p1 repeat
Next 15 cm (=6”): knit
Next row: k2tog to end of row
Next row: knit
Repeat last 2 rows 3 times.
Cut yarn and pull through last st.
Finished! Quick & easy.

*** this WOULD have taken 3 hours, but actually took 6 months because I ‘lost’ it for a while.

I bought the wool when i worked at Knit With Attitude, I started this when I was working in the little shop months ago, it has since moved to a bigger premises so do go there and see how fantastic it is!

I think I was going out with Bony Tony at the time so was making this for him but I dumped him when this was about half done. I thought it was a shame to waste all that knitting so I finished it and gave it to my current chap Alistair. He seems to like it, I have not told him the history of the piece.

I guess the hat was cursed, as I got dumped by Alistair the week after I gave it to him. He liked it though. Just didn’t like me. Ah well.
