Cast on using cable cast on. Patty Lyons last stitch fix.

Well, I certainly didn’t keep my notes up to date on this .
I knew it would be a struggle to finish before Christmas but there was always a hope.

Where to begin…, I simply love this pattern. Well written, thoughtful construction. I think it’s a shell for the ages.

However, in hindsight , I think I might have been off in choosing a sock yarn. Especially since I incorporated colorwork.

I probably should have gone up a needle size while doing the colorwork. There was quite a bit of puckering before blocking. It smoothed out but you can certainly tell it’s a tighter gauge than the rest of the sweater.

This was certainly not the fault of the yarn. It’s lovely, high twist great stitch definition and stunning colors.
I also ran out of the main color,which,of course, had since been discontinued. The dyer was incredibly helpful with an alternative. And the way I switched colors makes it look like it’s snowing on a grey day in a Christmas colored forest.
My plan was to make the cardigan with the same colorwork but I m going to have to rethink.
The final fit isn’t perfect but I can make it work.
