I’m buying the yarn as I go - the first photo is the first 5 colours. We’ll see, as I go, how much (if at all) I repeat the colour runs.

I think these are the final colours. I don’t believe introducing any more will enhance the project and, in fact, will probably detract from it. I love it so far. It’s vibrant and fresh but earthy too. Now - do I backward repeat or just repeat. I think it will be scaling but up the downward but we’ll see what it looks like as I get further along. More yarn on order.

It’s still progressing (about 75%) now and it’s beloved already. Both cats have claimed it. Husband thinks it’s his and I’m still enjoying making it even though the rows are getting longer and longer and therefore leaning towards the tedious. I now have enough yarn to complete it and hope knock it on the head within the next week or two…. Just in time for summer. What has been fun to watch is how the same colour changes tone just because of the colour it’s next to in the run. From very bright to richly vibrant the same colour is mutating.

It’s done.. but is it worthy of the Royal Easter Show. March will tell.

Congratulations to me. Blankie won an highly commended ribbon at the 2015 Sydney Royal Show. I’m very pleased with myself.
