1/05/09 - UPDATE: The bowl eventually got a little floppy from wear and tear (dumping my keys, wallet, lotion, chapstick, scissors, stitch markers, phone, makeup to and from my purse everyday). I re-stiffened it and it is as good as new!

OMG I love this pattern and the bowl! The pattern was very well written and charted out, and the yarn worked so beautifully to show off the lace. It has a silky-deep halo of color to it that I hope remains visible after the bowl has dried. Well, we’ll see in three days!

Well, the bowl is hard as a rock and the yarn has returned to its original color! (The pictures were taken while the bowl was not quite dry- you can see that the yarn is still quite dark in places.) It took about 4-5 days for the bowl to dry all the way. But now it lives by my front door, and I put my wallet, phone, and glasses case in it when I come home, and there is no worry about it not being strong enough. I’m so happy with it!
