This was my first sweater, and I am absolutely thrilled with the result. The instructions in the book were easy to follow and I will definitely use it to make other designs!

1/13/2013: Knit gauge swatch. Gauge measures 6 st/in and 8 rows/in, with negligible shrinkage after washing.
1/26/2013: CO 91 st as required for a 38” bust at 6 st/in. I knit one row after the CO, which became ‘Row 1 of slip stitch stripe pattern’. This made it much easier to do the increases required in the next row.
2/4/2013: About 4.5” of yoke completed; ready for increase round 3. Double-checked gauge and all is well, still getting 6 st/in.
2/16/2013: 6.5” of yoke and increase rounds 3 & 4 completed (see photo). 2” of yoke remaining.
3/10/2013: Yoke complete. Divided body and sleeves and started lower body.
4/12/2013: About 6” of lower body complete.
5/08/2013: Finished the lower body. Tried on the sweater and it fits! Huzzah! Setting this aside for a few weeks due to other commitments.
7/10/2013: Resumed, started right sleeve.
8/10/2013: Sleeves complete.
8/14/2013: Neckband … bind off … finished!
