The yarn is actually a two-ply.

It’s also marled with a bunch of other colors. Very subtle and pretty.

I did a lot of things to this sweater that weren’t in the pattern. All the things I did can be seen in the blog posts I did about this sweater. One includes adding the words “I think of you.” to the sleeves, as when I was knitting from sun to moon to sun to moon again, I kept thinking of the Cole Porter song Night and Day.
