I have made 2 baby blanket with this yarn and pattern; one was for a girl, and the other was for a boy. As you can see, I used traditional wool in a traditional non-gender specific color (ecru), as I was going for the ‘heirloom’ type of baby blanket. It’s appropriate for either sex, easy and quick to work up, but looks impressive, thanks to the cables!

I modified the pattern a bit, since I didn’t have enough yarn to make it full size, leaving out the double moss panels and narrowing some of the other panels.

Had to include this pic of my little Sleeping Beauty. She loves to help me knit LOL
