4/14/2012 Felted it a couple of weeks ago. Actually felted it twice, as it really was only half felted the first time. The band was too skinny after the first felting attempt, so I knitted a second one and will simply sew them together with the zipper in between instead of steeking one band to insert the zipper. Both pieces shrunk more than anticipated in height, but actually grew in width, which was surprising.

3/12/2012 Frogged the first attempt; don’t ask :( let’s just say it was an experiment that failed and leave it there…

Finished knitting the body of the purse size (2/3 height, full width) and the band (full size in length, but only 10 rows). No time to felt until the weekend though.

Used size 13 circular needles, 1 skein of the contrasting color (Platinum), and about 1.3 of the main color (Blackberry).

2/20/2012 I have never felted or steeked before, so this should be a fun project! It’s not availale as a kit anymore. Since the Wool of the Andes in Coal is out of stock until June, I’m going to do a practice one in Cadena with a couple of discontinued colors. I plan to make the bag/purse size, but shorter.
