I’m knitting all four of the panels at the same time back and forth on one long circular needle to ensure that they’re all the same length, using a different skein for each panel. I’m also joining the back panels together as I go by twisting the yarns as I switch from one panel to the other, thereby eliminating the need to sew the back seam at the end.

Finished all the knitting and seams; all that remains is blocking and making the ties.

Added front ties: four-strand braids made by running two lengths of yarn through the front edge of the vest, folding the yarn in half, and then braiding. Ends are finished with a simple overhand knot.

I like the way the finished vest looks, but I don’t love the way it fits on me. The shoulders turned out too wide for my frame. Maybe I’ll gift it to a friend.
